THE TFT LCD screen LVDS interface is the most common communication interface among TFT screen interfaces, and it is a low-voltage differential signal technology interface. It is a digital video signal transmission method developed by the American NS company (National Semiconductor Corporation) for the shortcomings of broadband high-code data such as high power consumption and large EMI electromagnetic interference.
The LVDS output interface uses a very low voltage swing (about 350mV). Data transmission is carried out through differential on two PCB traces or a pair of balanced cables, low-voltage differential signal transmission. Using the LVDS output interface, the signal can be transmitted to the differential PCB line or balanced cable at a speed of hundreds of Mbit/s. The low voltage and low current drive are realized due to low noise and low power consumption. The LVDS interface of TFT LCD has been widely used in LCDs of 17in and above. The LCD screen interface LVDS output interface can also be divided into the following four categories:
The interface circuit adopts single-channel transmission, each primary color signal adopts 6-bit data, a total of 18-bit RGB data, so it is also called 18-bit or 18-bit VDS interface. This is also called 18-bit or 18-bit BitLVDS interface.
TFT LCD screen dual 6-bit LVDS output interface circuit adopts dual-channel transmission, each primary color signal assumes 6-bit data, of which odd-channel data is 18-bit, even-channel data is 18-bit. RGB data is 36-bit, so it is also called 36-bit Or 36-bit BitLVDS interface.
The interface circuit of the wholesale TFT LCD screen adopts single-channel transmission. Each primary color signal adopts 8 bits of data, a total of 24 bits of RGB data, so it is also called 24-bit or 24-bit BitLVDS interface.
TFT LCD screen dual 8-bit 1TL output interface circuit adopts bidirectional transmission. Each primary color signal uses 8-bit data, of which odd-channel data is 24 bits, even-channel data is 24 bits, a total of 48 bits of RGB data, so it is also called 48-bit Or 48-bit BitLVDS interface.
